Arab tribes clash with PKK/YPG terror group in eastern Syria

Clashes have been taken place Tuesday between Arab tribes and the PKK/YPG terror group in areas of Syria’s Deir-ez Zor province, according to information obtained by an Anadolu reporter from local sources.

Intense clashes took place in six locations in the province.

Arab tribes attacked so-called road checkpoints and headquarters of the PKK/YPG in the villages of Al-Kishkiyah, Al-Suwar, Muheymideh and Badiyat Al-Ruwaished.

Meanwhile, the PKK/YPG kidnapped a civilian from Tayyane. The victim’s current situation is unknown.

During clashes, Arab tribes targeted vehicles and convoys belonging to the terror organization in Muheymideh.

On Monday, there were intense clashes in 12 locations of the province between Arab tribes and the PKK/YPG terror group.

In areas occupied by the PKK/YPG in Deir ez-Zor, clashes have been occurring sporadically since August 2023 between the oppressed Arab tribes and the terrorists.

In recent days, Arab tribes have been conducting nighttime raids on so-called road checkpoints and headquarters of PKK/YPG.

Arab tribes cleared 33 villages in Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa and Hasakah provinces, as well as the Manbij district of Aleppo, from terrorism by conducting attacks between Aug. 27 and Sep. 13.
