Arab terrorist armed with a knife arrested after attacking a border policeman in Hebron

An Arab terrorist armed with a knife attempted to stab a Border Policeman at a checkpoint near the Cave of the Patriarchs, on Monday.

After the man passed a cursory security check, the policeman noticed the suspect was shaking and acting strangely. The policeman, now suspicious, decided to check him again when the man pulled out a knife an attempted to stab him. The terrorist’s knife broke when it hit the policeman’s ceramic vest. The policeman fought back and overpowered the terrorist.

No one was injured in the incident.

This incident occurred just a day after Israeli Border Policemen arrested an armed Arab at the entrance to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron after he assaulted one of the troops.

The Cave of the Patriarchs and the area have been the site of multiple terror attacks and attempted attacks.
