Anti-Terrorism Units arrested four Islamic State mercenaries in al-Hol Camp
The special operations of the anti-terrorist YAT units have continued in al-Hol camp 45 km east of al-Hasakah, since the end of the first phase of the “Humanity and Security” campaign last Friday, based on the confessions of the mercenaries who were arrested during the campaign.
The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria launched the “Humanity and Security” campaign on the 28th of last March, and ended the first phase of it after 5 continuous days, on the 2nd of April.
At 1:00 am, the Anti –Terrorism Units carried out 11 raids on tents in the first, third, fifth and seventh sectors of the camp.
According to ANHA’s correspondent, 3 raids resulted in the arrest of 4 mercenaries from ISIS cells in al-Hol camp, including two ISIS women, known as “Umm Hajar and Umm Mustafa,” who were transporting weapons between cells in the camp.
These operations came as a continuation of the operations of the special anti-terrorism units to end the influence of ISIS in al-Hol camp, based on the information received by the units, which the security authorities obtain from the detainees during the “Humanity and Security” campaign.
ANHA ‘s correspondent quoted leaders in the units that operations will continue in al-Hol camp with the obtainment of every new information about the cells, explaining that the continuation of the operations depends on the investigations that are still ongoing with the detainees during the campaign.
It was also reported that the leaderships will continue operations until they reach the hiding points for the weapons that the mercenaries used in the killing of the camp’s residents.
Last night, the Anti-Terrorism Units arrested 6 mercenaries, including two ISIS women working in the al-Hisbah office in the camp, in similar operations.
