Al-Qaeda terrorist group will rise up again if foreign troops leave Afghanistan

President Biden has been told that the deal with the Taliban to end America’s military involvement in the war in Afghanistan is “fundamentally flawed” and could open the way to a grim future for the Afghan people.

Mr Biden has promised to review the deal signed by the Trump administration in Qatar a year ago, and the Pentagon is preparing a full assessment of security conditions in Afghanistan and the likely impact of withdrawing all remaining 2,500 US troops by May.
