Afghan intelligence authorities arrested seven suspects for link with the Islamic State terrorist group
Afghan intelligence agency personnel arrested seven suspects linked with the Islamic State (IS) group, the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the country’s national intelligence agency, confirmed on Saturday.
In capital Kabul, the NDS Special Operations Forces arrested five individuals in Bagrami district in the southeastern part of the city on Friday night, the agency said in a statement.
In eastern Nangarhar province, two IS affiliated individuals were captured in Chaparhar district on Friday, according to the source.
A handful of weapons and six mobile phones, different fake identification cards and mobile phone SIM cards were also confiscated during the operations.
