Afghan forces conducted preemptive strikes against Taliban terrorists in Balkh
The Afghan forces killed 9 Taliban militants by conducting preemptive strikes in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan, the Afghan military said.
The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said a group of Taliban militants were looking to carry out attacks against the Afghan forces in Temorak Village of Chahar Bolak district.
The statement further added that the Afghan force conducted preemptive strikes with the support of the Air forces, killing at least 9 Taliban militants.
The security forces also wounded 5 other Taliban militants during the same operation, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.
The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
