Afghan forces arrest Pakistani nationals affiliated with the Islamic State terrorist group
The Afghan forces arrested two Pakistani nationals who were fighting in the ranks of ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan, the Afghan military said.
According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps, the Afghan Special Forces conducted an operation based on a tip off in Behsud district of Nangarhar province.
The statement further added that he Special Forces arrested two Pakistani nationals who were fighting for ISIS terrorist group.
The detained individuals have been identified as Asghar alias Zarif Jan and Faridullah alias Shakir, the 201st Silab Corps said, adding that the Special Forces also confiscated an Ak-47 assault rifle, 5 cell phones, some munitions and Pakistani identity cards.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented in this regard so far.
