Afghan army forces killed Islamic State-linked operative in Nangarhar
On Monday, Mar. 8 an issued report of provincial administration showed that Afghan forces have killed an operative of the hardliner Islamic State (IS) outfit in the eastern Nangarhar province.
The report further said: “Amir Khan alias Amir Masoud Kaftari who served as deputy intelligence chief of the Islamic State outfit in the eastern region has been killed in Khogiani district.”
The statement affirmed that the security forces have also found the flag of the Islamic State group and several weapons and bullets from the hiding place of Masoud Kaftari in the attack.
IS group which is operational in areas of Nangarhar and the adjacent Kunar and Nuristan provinces has yet to make remarks.
